Day 1 Arrive in Kunming
Airport pickup and transfer to hotel. The guide will wait at the exit of the airport, holding a paper sign with your name on for you to recognize.
Visit the vibrant Flower & Bird Market, the Central Square of old town quarter and Kunming’s symbol building–Golden Horse & Green Phoenix Archway.

Day 2 Kunming (B, L)
Today take an excursion to the Stone Forest, a natural wonder of karst landscape. The area is also home of many ethnic villages and you are able to visit a Sani people ethnic village to experience local minority culture.

Day 3 Kunming-Dali (B, L)
Morning tour to the scenic Western Hills from where you can overlook the famous Dianchi Lake, which is also a popular resort.
Afternoon drive to Dali and free time to explore the Dali Old Town on your own. It appears more charming after sunset.

Day 4 Dali (B, L)
Morning cruise the ear-shaped Erhai Lake. Disembark to visit Xizhou Village to explore Bai people’s traditional houses and taste the Three Courses of Tea, which is the reception etiquette of the minority. After lunch, come to a Tie-dye Workshop in Zhoucheng Village to learn about Bai’s patterned tie-dyed cloth handicraft, and then head for the famous Three Pagodas. At night, have fun on the Foreigner Street in the Dali old town.

Day 5 Dali-Lijiang (B, L)
After breakfast, drive to Lijiang. This afternoon, explore UNESCO World Heritage Site Lijiang Old Town, and the nearby Black Dragon Pool, a famous pond in the scenic Jade Spring Park which is further home to Dongba Culture Research Institute and the Dongba Culture Museum. Then climb the Wangu Tower on Lion Hill for bird’s views of the town as well as the King Mu’s Mansion in sunset.

Day 6 Lijiang (B, L, D)
Full day excursion to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain scenic spot. You will see the majestic snow-capped Jade Dragon Snow Mountain by cable car, the high Yak Meadow as its part, the scenic Jade Water Village aside the lake, Dongba Gods Garden, and the Jade Summit Lamasery. During the tour, watch the grand open-air cultural show with the mountain as backdrop-Impression Lijiang demonstrating the traditions and lifestyles of the Naxi, Yi and Bai peoples of the area.

Day 7 Depart Lijiang (B)
Free time before the tour guide escorts you to the Lijiang airport for departure. End of our service.

Day 1 Arrive in Kunming

Day 2 Kunming (B, L)
Excursion to the famous Stone Forest scenic area, fantastic karst landscape located 90 km southeast of Kunming. It is also the home of Yi/Sani people, whose colorful minority culture will leave you a deep impression.
Transfer to the Qiongzhu Temple, or Bamboo Temple, a Buddhist temple situated on Yu’an Mountain, famous for the painted clay sculptures of the 500 Buddhist arhats.

Day 3 Kunming-Dali (B, L)
Take an early morning flight to Dali; be transferred to hotel upon arrival.
Visit the symbolic Lijiang attractions. Come to the Erhai Lake Park to watch the famous Erhai Lake, named after its shape like an ‘ear’. Then move on to the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, which has a history of 1800 years and is a symbol of the history of Dali city. Finally head to the essence of Dali culture-Dali Old Town, attractive by grand city wall and traditional Bai minority houses.

Day 4 Dali-Lijiang (B, L)
Drive to Lijiang (about 3 hours). On the way, visit the Bai people traditional houses in Xizhou town and a Tie-dye Workshop in Zhoucheng town. Arrive in Lijiang and enjoy the Naxi minority ancient music and dance performance at Dongba Palace.

Day 5 Lijiang (B)
Visit the Square Street of Lijiang Old Town. The Square Street is the heart of the old town, with streets from all directions converging here. You can arrange your rest time to explore the town-the channels, bridges, and minority style houses, etc.

Day 6 Lijiang (B, L)
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Visit the Dry Sea, now a beautiful meadow from where we will take a cable car to reach its mountainside meadow-Spruce Plateau for views of the mountain landscape. Transfer to visit the Baisha Village, which is the oldest settlement of Naxi people and known for the Baisha Murals. Come to the Yuhu Village and call at the Rock Joseph’s Former Residence.

Day 7 Lijiang-Kunming (B, L)
Be escorted to airport and fly black to Kunming; upon arrival be transferred to hotel.
Visit other typical Kunming attractions. The Golden Temple, also known as Taihe Palace is a Taoist temple located on the top of the Mingfeng Hill and is the largest copper temple in China. The Grand View Park is known for the Grand View Pavilion which is a good observation for the famous Dian Lake and Western Hill. The Birds and Flower Market is an interesting place to take a stroll on.

Day 8 Depart Kunming (B)
Free time before being transferred to airport for departure. Thanks for using our services.
